The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has adjusted its petrol price to ₦1,175 per litre, prompting depot operators in several locations to temporarily suspend sales.
Earlier, the refinery had reduced the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by ₦100 to ₦1,075 per litre on March 10, 2026, down from the previous ₦1,175 per litre.

Following that reduction, depot operators began selling at an average of about ₦1,100 per litre. However, the latest price increase has led many operators to pause transactions.
The refinery has also temporarily stopped loading operations to reconcile its stock levels and realign with the revised pricing structure.
The adjustment follows a recent surge in global crude oil prices, with Brent crude climbing from $91 to $100 per barrel, a development that has directly raised refining costs.
