Tinubu also emphasised that the spirit of charity, compassion, and kindness demonstrated during the fasting season should continue beyond it, noting the importance of supporting the less privileged and promoting unity.

Highlighting the role of faith, the President said all religions ultimately worship one God and called on Nigerians to reflect spiritual values such as discipline, love, and humility in their daily lives. He added that nation-building is a collective duty that requires embracing diversity and strengthening unity.

On his recent visit to the United Kingdom with the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, where they were received by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, Tinubu described the engagement as a recognition of Nigeria’s growing relevance in the global economy.

Obafemi Hamzat reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to praying for peace and the well-being of Nigerians, while appreciating the President’s continued support for Lagos.

In his sermon, the Grand Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sulaiman Oluwatoyin Abou-Nolla, urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of piety, discipline, and repentance cultivated during Ramadan, stressing the need for peace and unity amid global challenges.

The President was accompanied to the Eid ground by key officials, including the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; and former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, among others.
