Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has been re-elected as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, while Surajudeen Basiru emerged as National Secretary at the party’s 4th Elective National Convention held on Friday night at Eagle Square.

The Convention Election Committee announced their emergence alongside other officials elected through a consensus arrangement.

Top party leaders, including President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, were in attendance at the convention.

The convention, themed “Unity in Progress: Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda,” was organised by a planning committee headed by former Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Anyim Pius Anyim.
