ABIA GOVERNOR STRESSES FAITH OVER FEAR AHEAD OF 2027 ELECTIONS

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has urged residents not to worry about his potential re-election in 2027, emphasizing that ultimate power rests with God.
Speaking yesterday at the Unity Chapel, Government House, Umuahia, Otti reassured the people that there is no need for panic, noting that no human effort can override God’s will.
He stated: “I want to assure everyone here that there is no reason to panic. Power belongs to God, and He grants it to whom He wills. Ten million people cannot change His direction, nor can they help anyone God has not chosen. I have always maintained that people should remain calm. As the pastor mentioned, this is a divine mission.”

The Governor acknowledged that challenges may arise but stressed that they should not cause fear.
During the service, Pastor Kennedy Iheoma, President of the Aba North Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, drew from Acts 28:1-6, highlighting that a person with a divine mandate cannot be stopped, even by the fiercest opposition. He compared Otti’s mission to Apostle Paul’s, noting that not even a venomous snake could hinder God’s appointed servant.
Pastor Iheoma affirmed that Otti’s leadership is divinely ordained, focused on transforming lives rather than personal gain, and has already brought hope and relief to many. He also encouraged the Governor to remain steadfast despite challenges along the way.
