Leonid Slutsky leaves Hull City by mutual consent
Hull City have announced that head coach Leonid Slutskyhas left the Championship outfit by mutual consent.
The former Russia manager was appointed as Marco Silva‘s successor in June following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
However, Slutsky has been unable to transform the Tigers’ fortunes, winning only four of his 20 Championship games to leave them three points above the relegation zone.
In addition, Hull confirmed that head of club strategy Oleg Yarovinsky has also left his role at the KCOM Stadium.
Club chairman Ehab Allam said in a statement on the official site: “Leonid has worked tirelessly in his role and has acted with complete honour and been a pleasure to work with.
“Unfortunately results have not improved as both parties would have hoped and therefore it was agreed for the relationship to come to an end.
“I would like to thank Leonid and Oleg for their efforts here and sincerely wish them well for the future.”
Slutsky’s departure leaves Hull looking for their fourth manager in 18 months.
