The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has directed the Divisional Police Officer of Satellite Town in Lagos to produce officers involved in a viral harassment video in Abuja for disciplinary action.

The directive was disclosed by the Complaint Response Unit of the Nigerian Police Force in a post on X.com, formerly Twitter, on Saturday.

The post read, “The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (÷), NPM
@TunjiDisu1 has directed that the DPO Satellite town in Lagos to bring the policemen involved to Abuja on Wednesday, 8th April, 2026, for disciplinary action. #NoToImpunity”

According to Hotjist, an earlier statement by the unit confirmed that the officers captured in the viral video harassing young men had been identified.

The unit had reacted to the video circulating online, which showed police officers allegedly harassing young boys under the guise of a search operation.

It stated, “Dear members of the public, the policemen in the viral video have been identified, and appropriate disciplinary actions awaits them accordingly.”

“We seek for your support and trust as we fight impunity to a standstill,” it added.

The unit also urged Nigerians to continue supporting the police in its efforts to eliminate misconduct within the force.
