An audio in which the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose , was allegedly captured telling officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC he would not further say anything until he is taken to court, has surfaced online.
In the audio, Fayose who is currently in the EFCC custody was heard telling EFCC operatives he would not write any statement and that he is ready to remain in their custody indefinitely
In his words, “you are no court of law, you can’t force me to say what I don’t want to say. I’ve told you earlier and I’m saying it again, It is only in the law court that I can get justice. You commision has showed its hands to be partisan and prefer to bring me down at all cost and that will not get my co-operation. I believe the court of the land is still credible enough to give us fair hearing, not here”.
“This is the last time I want to talk about that, I’m not going to write anything again. If you bring me here again, I’m not going to do it. I am ready to stay here for as long as you want to keep me here. I will not be intimidated by this your incarceration. I will never be intimidated” he said.
