The Federal Government on Wednesday unveiled Rev360, a digital tax administration platform aimed at improving tax compliance, simplifying interactions between taxpayers and authorities, and strengthening revenue collection as part of broader reforms to modernise Nigeria’s tax system.
The platform was launched at the headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) in Abuja during a ceremony attended by senior government officials, development partners, professional bodies, business associations, tax consultants, and taxpayers.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Taiwo Oyedele, the Permanent Secretary (Special Duties) in the ministry, Mohammed Danjuma, described the initiative as a significant milestone in the ongoing modernisation of Nigeria’s revenue administration framework.
He noted that effective tax administration plays a key role in economic development by encouraging voluntary compliance, enhancing transparency, and boosting investor confidence.
Danjuma explained that when tax processes are efficient, compliance becomes easier, allowing businesses to focus more on growth and productivity. He added that initiatives like Rev360 would strengthen governance, support voluntary compliance, and create a more enabling environment for economic activity.
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, also commended the initiative, saying it aligns with government efforts to improve the ease of doing business and achieve the goal of building a $1 trillion economy.
She said the administration remains committed to implementing reforms that will strengthen economic growth, while praising the Nigeria Revenue Service for embracing technology and improving service delivery.
The Executive Chairman of the NRS, Zacch Adedeji, described Rev360 as a reflection of the agency’s transformation from a traditional revenue-collecting institution into a technology-driven organisation.
He said the service is evolving into a modern, tech-focused agency designed to improve efficiency and enhance revenue generation.
According to him, the new system represents the future of tax administration in Nigeria, driven by innovation and digital transformation.
The Executive Director of the Medium and Emerging Taxpayers Group, Bolaji Akintola, said the platform was designed to improve the taxpayer experience by making processes such as registration, filing, payments, and support services more seamless and efficient.
She noted that modern taxpayers expect public services to be as fast, transparent, and convenient as private sector systems.
Akintola added that Rev360 would improve visibility of tax obligations, simplify compliance processes, and strengthen communication between taxpayers and the revenue authority.
The Chief of Staff to the NRS Chairman, Mr Tayo Koleosho, explained that the platform serves as a unified system for registration, assessment, payment, auditing, customer service, and compliance management.
He said the goal is to ease the burden on businesses while also improving revenue generation for the government.
Koleosho added that the platform would also provide better data insights to support policy decisions and economic planning.
The Executive Director of Technology at the NRS, Mr Iniabasi Akpan, said Rev360 was developed to meet evolving taxpayer expectations and future demands of revenue administration.
He explained that the system integrates all tax-related processes into a single digital ecosystem, improving efficiency, transparency, and compliance management.
Akpan added that the platform represents a shift toward intelligent tax administration, with real-time monitoring, improved workflow systems, and stronger taxpayer support.
The launch event also featured live demonstrations of key functions such as registration, filing, payment, and reporting, alongside discussions on implementation readiness and stakeholder engagement.
The NRS said Rev360 aligns with its vision of building a modern, transparent, and data-driven tax system capable of meeting Nigeria’s growing economic needs.
