UKRAINE, RUSSIA RESUME DRONE STRIKES AFTER EASTER TRUCE
Agency Report

Ukraine and Russia resumed overnight drone attacks on Monday following the end of a 32-hour Orthodox Easter ceasefire, which both sides accused each other of repeatedly violating.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia had launched 98 drones, 87 of which were shot down by air defence systems.
Authorities said an infrastructure site in the central-eastern Dnipropetrovsk region was struck, while details on casualties were still being verified.
Russia, in turn, stated that its air defence units intercepted and destroyed 33 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones on April 13.
Last week, Moscow and Kyiv agreed to a ceasefire that ran from 4:00 pm (1300 GMT) on Saturday until the end of Sunday.
However, as with a similar arrangement last year, the front line—stretching about 1,200 kilometres (745 miles)—saw only limited calm.
The Ukrainian military reported more than 10,000 violations by Russian forces during the period, most of them involving frontline clashes.
However, it stated that no missile strikes, air strikes, or attack drone operations (including Shahed or Gerbera-type drones) were recorded during the declared ceasefire period.
Russia’s Defence Ministry, meanwhile, accused Kyiv of nearly 2,000 violations of the truce.
