OLUBADAN FELICITATES WITH LADOJA ON HIS 80TH BIRTHDAY
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on Tuesday, felicitated the former Governor of Oyo State and the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja on his milestone 80th birthday, saying he is a worthy son of Ibadanland.
Olubadan, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Gbenga Ayoade, in Ibadan, the state capital, congratulated Ladoja for the milestone and appreciated his contributions to Ibadanland, the state and Nigeria in general.
The statement read, “Oba Olakulehin expresses his unalloyed gratitude to the God Almighty for spearing the life of Oba Ladoja to witness his 80th birthday celebration.
“On this landmark occasion and joyous celebration of his 80th birthday, on behalf of the Olubadan-In-Council, the good people and residents of Ibadanland, I recognize, celebrate and salute your service to Ibadanland and indeed the state.
“You are a worthy son and ambassador of Ibadanland, and we are proud of you and your noble achievements in your eight decades on earth.
“My prayer is that the Almighty will give you many more years in good health and wealth to continue in service to humanity.”
The monarch further appreciated Ladoja’s love for peace and unity in Ibadanland and his commitment to the promotion and preservation of Ibadan cultural heritage.
Olubadan, therefore, used the occasion to admonish traditional title holders, indigenes as well as residents of the ancient city to ensure the maintenance of peaceful co-existence for Ibadan’s development in all sectors and areas of human endeavour.
