PETER OBI MOURNS GHANAIAN MINISTERS, OTHERS KILLED IN HELICOPTER CRASH

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has commiserated with the President of Ghana, John Mahama, and the Ghanaian people over the tragic loss of key government officials in a helicopter crash on Tuesday.
In a message posted on his official X handle on Wednesday, Obi expressed grief over the deaths of Ghana’s Defence Minister, Edward Boamah; Environment Minister, Ibrahim Muhammed; and six others who perished in the crash.
“This is a painful moment not just for Ghana but for all of us across the region who stand in solidarity with you,” Obi wrote.
He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the government of Ghana, and members of the Ghanaian Armed Forces, urging them to draw strength during this period of national mourning.
“May God comfort the families and the entire nation in this time of sorrow, and may the departed rest in perfect peace,” he added, speaking on behalf of his family and the Obidient movement.
The tragic crash has sent shockwaves across the West African region, prompting an outpouring of sympathy and support for Ghana as it grapples with the sudden loss of top officials.
