TINUBU MOURNS GHANA’S DEFENCE, ENVIRONMENT MINISTERS KILLED IN HELICOPTER CRASH

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to President John Mahama, the government, and the people of Ghana following a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Ghana’s Defence Minister, Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and six others.
In a statement on Wednsday, President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a profound national tragedy for Ghana.
He assured President Mahama and the Ghanaian people that Nigeria stands in solidarity with them during this time of grief, noting that the thoughts and prayers of the Nigerian government and citizens are with their West African neighbours.
“The President urges the Ghanaian nation and the bereaved families and friends to find comfort in the knowledge that their loved ones died in the line of patriotic service to the country,” the statement read.
President Tinubu also prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed and for strength and comfort for the families they left behind.
