TUCHEL NAMES FIRST ENGLAND SQUAD, HANDS DEBUTS TO SPENCE, ANDERSON
Agency Report
England manager Thomas Tuchel has announced his first squad of the 2025/26 season, with Tottenham defender Djed Spence and Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson earning senior call-ups.
The 24-man list, released on Tuchel’s 52nd birthday, comes as the Three Lions prepare for their World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia in September.
Spence and Anderson, who were part of Lee Carsley’s England Under-21 European Championship-winning side, have impressed early this season and now step up to the senior team. “Djed and Elliot have shown real quality and maturity they’ve earned this chance,” Tuchel said.
