TINUBU CELEBRATES ETSU NUPE AT 73, HONOURS LEGACY OF PEACE AND RECONCILIATION

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, on the occasion of his 73rd birthday and the 22nd anniversary of his reign.
In a communiqué issued on Friday and signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu characterized the monarch as a true patriot who has persistently utilized his influence to promote unity, peace, and reconciliation throughout the nation.

“The Etsu Nupe has made significant contributions to nation-building. He has leveraged his esteemed position to advocate for unity, harmony, religious tolerance, peace, and reconciliation within the country.
“His humility, fortitude, and leadership experience have been pivotal in his roles as Chairman of the Abuja Mosque and Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria,” stated Tinubu.
Born in 1952, Alhaji Abubakar had a distinguished military career, occupying critical operational roles before retiring as a Brigadier-General.
He took the throne in 2003, becoming the 13th Etsu Nupe.
The President expressed his wishes for the monarch’s longevity, wisdom, and a peaceful, prosperous reign over the Nupe Kingdom.
