X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, experienced a widespread service disruption on Monday, preventing tens of thousands of users from accessing the site via its mobile app and website.

The outage, which began early in the day, left many users unable to load the platform. Attempts to access X often resulted in the interface freezing on the company’s logo, while others who managed to open their feeds were greeted with an error message reading, “Something went wrong. Try reloading.”

As of the time of filing this report, the company had not issued an official statement explaining the cause of the disruption or indicating when full service would be restored.

Monday’s incident adds to a series of technical challenges faced by the platform in recent months. In November 2025, X and internet infrastructure firm Cloudflare experienced a separate outage that disrupted services across multiple countries, including the United States, India, and Nigeria.

Despite recurring technical setbacks, X remains one of the world’s most widely used social media platforms. However, the latest downtime has renewed concerns among users who depend on the service for news updates, business engagement, and real-time communication.
