Kabiru Gaya, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Governor of Kano State, has alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is apprehensive about the growing influence of the ADC.

Speaking on Wednesday during an interview on Arise Television monitored by the MEDIA, Gaya claimed that the APC is employing tactics against the ADC similar to those it used to weaken the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties.

He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to act with integrity and impartiality, urging the body to remain neutral and fair to all political parties rather than favoring any particular group.

According to him, the ruling party is now intensifying efforts against the ADC, having previously felt unthreatened after sidelining other parties. He noted, however, that the ADC has continued to grow despite various challenges.

Gaya added that members of the ADC are fully committed to strengthening the party, emphasizing that their experience as seasoned politicians has helped them overcome numerous obstacles and position the party for success.
