RECRUITMENT OF 50,000 CONSTABLES INTO THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE BEGINS

The Police Service Commission (PSC), working with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), is excited to share that they are starting the process of hiring 50,000 new Police Constables for the Nigeria Police Force, as ordered by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
This decision is part of a plan to improve community policing, make sure the security of the country is better, and grow the number of police officers.
The Commission has now opened the application process for qualified Nigerians to join.
To be eligible, you must meet certain education and other requirements.
For General Duty roles, you need to have a certificate like GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or similar, with at least five credits (including English and Math) in two sittings or less. For Specialists roles, you need four credits (including English and Math), and also have three years of experience in your field along with passing trade tests.
Other requirements include:
– Being a Nigerian by birth
– Being between 18 and 25 years old for General Duty, or 18 to 28 for Specialists
– Being in good health, both physically and mentally
– For General Duty, you must be at least 1.67m tall if male or 1.64m if female
– Meeting any other conditions listed on the recruitment portal
Applications can be submitted online from Monday, 15 December 2025, to Sunday, 25 January 2026.
