Jubilant supporters took to the streets of Osogbo on Sunday following the announcement of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the Osun State governorship election.
The supporters, who gathered in different parts of the state capital, were seen cheering, waving their hands and displaying signs in support of the governor as celebrations broke out after the results were announced.
Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, to secure a second term in office.
The victory sparked scenes of jubilation across Osogbo, with supporters chanting, waving and celebrating the governor’s return for another term.
The celebrations continued into the day as residents and party supporters expressed excitement over the outcome of the election, with streets in the state capital taking on a festive atmosphere.
