BONFRERE JO NOT SURPRISED BY CHAN EAGLES CRASH IN MOROCCO
Dutch coach, Bonfrere Jo has said he was not surprised by CHAN Eagles
humiliating crash in the Championship for African Nations, CHAN, which
came to a fitting end on Sunday in Morocco.
“I said about a month before the completion started that the (CHAN)
Eagles stand no chance at all”, Bobfrere sounded from his native
country, Holland, on Monday.
“If you cannot win in Morocco, how do you hope to win in bigger
championships like the World Cup”?.
Bonfrere took Nigeria to the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games Soccer gold success.
He also led the Super Eagles to the Nations Cup final in 2000, losing
only on penalty kicks.
According to him, Nigeria has never cine shirt if the required talents
but identified poor preparation and organisation as the biggest
handicap of the West African nation.
“Yeah, Nigeria has good players.
“But where is the organisation? How is the domestic league run?
“Do the national teams prepare very well before championships”?, he
queried rhetorically.
