K1 DE ULTIMATE DENIES DISRUPTING VALUEJET FLIGHT, CALLS NARRATIVE MISLEADING

Fuji legend, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has refuted reports alleging that he disrupted a ValueJet flight on August 5, 2025, describing the claims as “exaggerated and misleading.”
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his media aide, Kunle Rasheed, the musician addressed the incident that sparked controversy online, clarifying that the substance he was accused of carrying onboard reportedly breaching aviation safety protocol was simply bottled water given to him at the airport lounge.
“At no point did K1 act in a manner that endangered lives or breached safety regulations,” the statement said. “Despite his respectful effort to clarify the situation, it was unnecessarily escalated.”
Contrary to claims that he delayed or blocked the aircraft from taking off, the statement insisted that K1 acted with restraint and decorum throughout the episode. It further revealed that high-level officials, including the Head of Airport Security, representatives from FAAN and NCAA, as well as the airline’s Chairman and Managing Director, reached out to apologize and even arranged a private jet to convey him to Lagos an offer he reportedly declined.

The statement also alleged that the pilot involved in the situation has since had her license suspended, implying that she may be attempting to “deflect blame.”
K1’s camp emphasized that the artist was the victim in the incident and warned against sensationalism, urging the public and media to rely on facts rather than speculation.
“K1 remains a law-abiding citizen and continues to cooperate fully with all relevant authorities to ensure the matter is responsibly resolved,” the statement concluded.
