SENATE CONFIRMS HON OYEWOLE AS JUSTICE OF SUPRREME COURT

The Senate has confirmed Hon. Justice Joseph Olubunmi Kayode Oyewole, JCA, as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. The confirmation on Tuesday followed the presentation and review of the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights & Legal Matters report by its Chairman, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, APC, Ondo Central.

In his presentation, Senator Adegbonmire stated, “That the Senate do Receive and Consider the Report of the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights & Legal Matters on the confirmation of the nomination of Hon. Justice Joseph Olubunmi Kayode Oyewole, JCA, as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.”

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had written the Senate last week Tuesday, seeking the confirmation of Justice Oyewole as Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
