KANO POLICE DISBURSES N3.18 MILLION TO OFFICERS, NEXT OF KIN UNDER INSURANCE SCHEME

The Kano State Police Command has distributed N3.18 million in cheques to five next of kin and a police officer under the Group Personnel Accident Insurance Scheme, the command announced on Thursday.
According to a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the cheques, totalling N3,188,685.80, were presented by Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Bakori.
The initiative underscores the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to the welfare and well-being of officers and their families, particularly those affected by accidents and injuries.
“The Commissioner conveyed the IGP’s message to the beneficiaries, urging them to use the funds judiciously for their health and well-being,” the statement said.
The beneficiaries, including families of deceased or injured officers, expressed profound gratitude for the timely support, acknowledging the Nigeria Police Force’s dedication to protecting its personnel in times of need.
The Kano State Police Command commended the IGP’s initiative and reiterated its commitment to community service, professionalism, and the welfare of its officers.
