The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has condemned the abduction of more than 100 Christian worshippers in Kurmin Wali community, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, calling the incident a tragic setback to recent gains in security.
In a statement signed by its National Secretary, Bishop David Bakare, the Fellowship said the attack, which occurred during a church service, has plunged families, churches, and the wider Christian community into grief, fear, and uncertainty.
The PFN described the kidnapping as particularly distressing, noting that it comes at a time when residents of Kaduna were beginning to experience relief from persistent insecurity. The Fellowship warned that the attack raises renewed concerns about the safety of citizens seeking to worship peacefully.

Strongly condemning the act as heinous, PFN called on all relevant security agencies to deploy every available resource and intelligence to ensure the immediate, safe, and unconditional release of the abducted worshippers. “The protection of lives and property is a fundamental responsibility of government, and we trust that decisive action will be taken without delay,” the statement said.
The Fellowship also appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene, citing past successes where similar presidential interventions aided the safe return of victims in other states. PFN expressed solidarity with the families of those in captivity, pledging prayers, support, and encouragement during this difficult period.
The statement concluded with prayers for divine protection over the abducted worshippers, strength and comfort for their loved ones, and wisdom for security personnel working toward their rescue, while urging lasting peace, justice, and security across Kaduna State and Nigeria.
