The development comes after a deadly attack on a prayer ground at Ori-Oke Ajaiye, where gunmen reportedly killed three worshippers and abducted 15 others during a night vigil.
The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the incident occurred on Saturday night while members of a church were observing prayers at the remote worship centre in the Ikerin/Ajuba axis.
In a separate incident, police also confirmed a coordinated midnight attack on Yashikira by suspected armed bandits, who reportedly attacked the divisional police headquarters and the palace of the Emir of Yashikira.
The assailants abducted 10 persons, including wives and children of the traditional ruler, Alhaji Umar Seriki, and set part of the palace ablaze.
Following the attacks, Commissioner of Police Ojo Adekimi ordered a full-scale tactical operation involving the military, police, forest guards, vigilantes, and other security agencies to rescue victims and track down the perpetrators.
