The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed the reception ceremony planned for the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, which was scheduled to hold on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka (CON), the APC said a new date for the event would be announced in due course.

The postponement, according to the statement, is in honour of members of the armed forces and citizens recently killed by terrorist attacks, as well as in solidarity with victims of abductions particularly innocent students in Kebbi State.

“We salute the courage and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line in defence of our liberty and security,” the party stated.

Expressing deep condolences to the families of the victims, the APC also prayed for the safe return of abducted students, describing their kidnappers as “forces of evil”.

The party reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to eliminating insurgency and banditry, stressing that those responsible would be brought to justice.

The statement concluded by noting that the postponement was an expression of respect and national solidarity during a period of grief.
