According to Fanwo, the early salary payment underscores the administration’s commitment to prioritising the welfare of workers, especially during significant religious celebrations.
“The early payment demonstrates the administration’s unwavering commitment to prioritising the welfare of workers and ensuring that members of the state workforce are well supported, particularly during significant religious festivities,” the commissioner said.
He noted that feedback from civil servants across the state showed appreciation for the gesture, adding that it would assist workers in preparing for the Sallah celebration.
“The Kogi State Government assures the workforce that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will continue to place a high priority on workers’ welfare as the committed and dependable civil service keeps delivering quality services to the people of Kogi State,” he added.
Fanwo also extended his best wishes to Muslims for a successful Ramadan and a joyful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the end of the Ramadan fasting period, is expected to be observed next Friday, subject to the sighting of the moon.
