Global Afrobeats sensation Davido has officially pulled out of the highly anticipated concert featuring rap icon 50 Cent and R\&B legend Mary J. Blige, scheduled to take place on July 3 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

In a statement shared via his Instagram story, the Nigerian superstar clarified that his decision was not related to low ticket sales or a lack of fan support but was instead based on “principle and respect” for his artistry and audience.

“This decision is not a reflection of turnout or support; it is a matter of principle and respect for my craft, my fans, and the culture I represent,” Davido stated.

He revealed that despite committing to the event and working closely with promoters The Necto Future Group, organizers of IconicPresents, persistent issues regarding the show’s execution led to his withdrawal.

“Over the past few weeks, I have extended my full support and professionalism… with the sincere intention of delivering a performance that meets the high standards my fans deserve,” he wrote. “Despite strong fan support and impressive ticket sales, there have been major misalignments regarding the event’s execution.”

Davido expressed disappointment that the unresolved issues had made it impossible for him to proceed with the performance.

“Unfortunately, these issues remain unresolved. As a result, I regret to inform you that I will no longer be performing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 3rd,” he announced.

While the London show will go on without him, the ‘Unavailable’ hitmaker assured fans that his ongoing summer tour remains intact.

“London, I’ll see you guys soon, I promise! The rest of the shows this summer are still happening. 5ive is still alive! See you guys in Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Canada, and the US! Africa must be respected,” he concluded.
