FG URGES PARAMILITARY RECRUITMENT CANDIDATES TO LOG IN EARLY FOR CBT
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board has informed candidates selected for the ongoing online Computer-Based Test to access the platform 30 minutes prior to the start time each day.
This information was conveyed in a statement released by the Secretary of the Board, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril, on Wednesday in Abuja.
Jibril indicated that the online CBT segment of the recruitment process, which commenced on Wednesday, would persist until the following week, commencing daily at 9:00 a.m.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the paramilitary organizations within the board encompass the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
According to the secretary, only candidates who have been formally scheduled will be permitted to log in, as the portal will activate 30 minutes before each designated examination.
“To access the assessment, candidates are required to enter the board’s portal at recruitment. cdcfib.gov. ng at the exact exam time selected during registration,” he stated.
“They are to complete the photo verification process and remain in the virtual waiting area until the exam commences automatically at the scheduled time. ”
He also urged all candidates to thoroughly review and comply with the examination regulations to prevent disqualification.
“The system has been designed to monitor and identify all forms of malpractice, third-party interference, and device manipulation,” Jibril added.
“The CBT will be AI-proctored throughout the entire duration, so candidates are advised to ensure a reliable internet connection, consistent power supply, and the appropriate device—preferably a laptop.
“While mobile phones and tablets may be utilized, interruptions such as phone calls or switching applications will activate violation alerts. Repeated infractions will lead to automatic failure.
“Candidates who experience disconnection after commencing can reconnect within the designated timeframe and continue from their last point,” he stated.
The media recalls that the CDCFIB began announcing the names of candidates shortlisted for the paramilitary agencies’ recruitment CBT on October 30.
