The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture is currently hosting the grand finale of the second edition of the Eko Schools Arts and Crafts Competition at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja.

The competition, which made its debut in 2025, has returned for its second edition, bringing together outstanding participants from secondary schools and tertiary institutions across Lagos State to showcase their artistic talents and creative works.

Designed to promote creativity, innovation, and artistic excellence among young people, the initiative provides a platform for students to express themselves through various forms of art and craft while encouraging the growth of the state’s creative industry.

According to the organisers, submitted artworks and sculptures were assessed by a panel of professional art curators, with winners expected to emerge for scholarship awards and other recognition prizes.

The event is expected to celebrate the achievements of young artists and creatives while highlighting the importance of the creative sector to Lagos State’s cultural and economic development.

Government officials, education stakeholders, art enthusiasts, students, and invited guests are in attendance as activities continue at the venue.
