TINUBU HAS FAILED ON SECURITY, ECONOMY, HEALTHCARE — ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu, alleging that it is grappling with the consequences of poor performance across key sectors of national development.
In a statement posted on X on Sunday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the government has failed to meet expectations in areas such as security, the economy, healthcare and education.
Abdullahi argued that the administration has shown little concern for Nigerians facing economic hardship and insecurity, adding that the same attitude is now being extended to citizens living abroad in search of better opportunities.

According to him, the government lacks the moral authority to claim that living conditions in Nigeria are better than those experienced by Nigerians in other countries when many citizens continue to struggle with unemployment, inflation and insecurity.
“It is unfortunate that a government which has failed to address the challenges confronting ordinary Nigerians is now criticising those who relocated abroad in pursuit of a better life,” he said.
The ADC spokesperson maintained that the government should focus on improving living conditions by creating jobs, restoring economic stability, strengthening security and rebuilding public confidence rather than faulting Nigerians who have sought opportunities elsewhere.
He stated that many Nigerians who emigrated did so because of circumstances the government has been unable to effectively address.
Abdullahi also highlighted the economic contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora, noting that official remittances remain a significant source of foreign exchange for the country.
According to him, while Nigeria recorded oil export earnings of $31.5 billion in 2025, diaspora remittances during the same period stood at $21.8 billion, underscoring the importance of Nigerians abroad to the nation’s economy.
