The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports circulating on social media alleging that candidates linked to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri during the party’s recent primaries were replaced in Abuja.

Reacting to the claims, the spokesperson of the APC in Adamawa State, Dogo Victor, described the reports as false and politically motivated attempts to create tension and division within the party.

Speaking on the development, Victor insisted that no candidate had been substituted and maintained that the results produced during the primary elections remain unchanged.

“There is nothing like that. Nobody has been replaced with another name. The primary election results remain intact,” he stated

He further alleged that individuals dissatisfied with the outcome of the primaries were behind efforts to stir unrest within the party.

“Some people who lost during the primaries, conducted in a free and fair environment, are fanning the embers of crisis. The APC in Adamawa State remains one family,” he added.

The reports had claimed that the member representing Michika/Madagali Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dauda Nyampa, who was reportedly adopted without a primary election, had been dropped in Abuja.

Similar allegations also suggested that James Barka, representing Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency and said to have emerged through adoption, was replaced at the national level.

Another name mentioned in the online reports was Hajiya Ramatu Bello, an Abuja-based politician reportedly linked to the Mubi North/Mubi South/Maiha Federal Constituency ticket.

Further speculation alleged that a political group associated with the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, was making moves to edge out individuals perceived to be loyal to Governor Fintiri ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Additional claims also alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, intervened in internal party matters to secure Fintiri’s Senate ambition.

However, the APC dismissed all the allegations and reiterated that the outcome of the primaries as conducted and collated in Adamawa State remains valid and unchanged.
