Suspected bandits have abducted six residents during a midnight raid on Unguwan Dutse community in Wasagu Town, located in the Wasagu District of Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The incident was disclosed by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama in a post shared on his X account.

According to security sources, the attack occurred at about 12:40 a.m. on June 5 when heavily armed gunmen reportedly stormed the community from a forest corridor believed to connect with neighbouring Zamfara State.

Following a distress call received around 3:40 a.m., a joint security team comprising police tactical operatives, military personnel, and local vigilantes was deployed to the area.

However, by the time security operatives arrived, the attackers had already escaped with the victims.

Authorities confirmed that operations are ongoing, while additional patrol teams have been deployed to strengthen security and prevent further incidents in the area.

Residents have also been advised to remain alert and promptly report any suspicious activities or movements to security agencies.
